I've been a bad blogger, I know! I totally lost my Mojo the last few months! So sorry to my non-existent followers! While I was not-blogging I was still dicking around in Second Life, shopping, exploring and of course-Plurking. I found out about the Hogwarts: Your Story roleplay Sim and jumped on the bandwagon like everyone else. I was lucky enough to meet the owner's and the ALOs and I've even volunteered to work as their webmaster! So hopefully that will come together in the next few weeks/months. The background of this picture was taken in the Ravenclaw Common Room at the Accio! Sim which is just FABULOUS! 

So this my character, Geraldine Harley. She's an American-born Witch with an interest in all-things Muggles. Her father is a Muggle-born Wizard from Illinois who works for the American Wizarding Government as a liason between the Wizarding and Muggle-worlds. Her mother is a British-born Witch born to a Pure-blood Witch and a Muggle, she's a journalist for an American Wizarding newspaper. The family moved to the UK when Geraldine was 9 as she has an older brother who was set to enter Hogwarts at the time, but he never got his acceptance letter! Geraldine did and was accepted into Ravenclaw house like her mother and those before her. 

Geraldine has a bit of a commanding and snobbish personality so she finds it difficult to make true friends. Despite that she is friendly and outspoken, and she's does not have any prejudice to any one from the other Houses. She loves Muggle music and wants to own her own business in the Wizarding-world where she brings Muggle-commodites to Wizards.

Sorry for the recent disappearance! I recently sold my computer and got a new one and it just arrived this Friday. I've been playing and setting it up over the weekend. Loving it so far. I can run shadows now, but only in the main Second Life viewer. On every other viewer they either don't work or don't look as nice. The ones in the main viewer are kinda choppy but they look okay after they get processed in Photoshop so its not bad. 

I love using shadows for decor photography and what I even love more for that is the Kari Komrad HUD. It is really fun to use and I love the effect it creates! I recently moved to the Pemberley sim owned by Clementine Ishtari of Awesome Blossom and I love it! I've never lived on a private Sim before, although I had to bring down my prim count to stay within my budget it is totally worth it. Today I bring you a slew of pictures from Pemberley, using the Kari Komrad HUD edited straight from the viewer! Enjoy!

EXTRA EXTRA complementary weekend post. Juniper Ellisson here, bringing you all the latest trends in-world! I'm here to tell you about a couple of new NEW items that arrived to my inventory over the week. I feel super lucky and blessed that designers include me in their sample packs, I love getting free shit but QUALITY NEW free shit is in a whole 'nother level. And everyone (meaning myself) knows I would not blog about something unless it was absolutely FABULOUS! So here goes. The whole outfit was inspired by the top from C'est Moi, brand new and superrr fresh for the summer. I love how it shows just a little bit of tummy, enough to be sexy without being trashy and such a cute blue color! The other new item is the skin by L.Fauna, Lea, I got a sample pack of these and WOW Launa Fauna has outdone herself. So many options and add-ons to the skin! In these pictures I'm wearing Tan 1 without any makeup, so clean! I love how it still remains a classic L.Fauna skin yet still distinctive on its own. I should note that the pink cheeks and freckles are an add-on by L.Fauna also, not included in the Lea skin.  

I went to the Cupcake Sim to take these pics and I would have more but my Kirstens Viewer and Cupcake just weren't agreeing with each other. Regardless, the Sim is GORGEOUS, exactly what I was looking for when I was thinking where to go with this. I want to note that the second of the pictures is my entry for the Olive Juice Flickr Contest going on right now. I never join these Flickr contest cause honestly I'm too effing lazy to, but when I saw the notice I knew I had to enter. Olive Juice has quickly become one of my favorite stores and I love love IsabellaGrace Baroque's sense of humor which is what I was trying to pay homage to in the picture.

Helloo! This is a bit of an overdue post. I've had these pictures opened in Photoshop for A WEEK now and I just hadn't felt inspired to really work on them and give them the treatment they deserved. Well, in the end, I'm kinda happy I waited cause these came out AMAZING! I was super inspired by the fri.day gatcha leggings at the Albero Spring Gatcha Festival that ended earlier this week. Almost every item is a cheapie or a freebie I found at some point or the other. I decided to go for a super glamorous high-fashion look and so I knew I had to make my first trip to La Malvada Mujer, while I had seen items from this fabulous shop around the grid I had not yet purchased anything. Mainly because my regular style is more down-to-earth than high fashion and La Malvada Mujer just calls for amazing costumes and a total couture wardrobe!

Anyways I also tested out a taller version of my Shape for these pics. FYI, my shape is about 4' 10" or so in-world it borders on a child shape, I like it that way cause I am short myself RL and I don't feel like pretending I'm tall either way. Since then, I've toned down the height a bit and I think I'm about 5' 2" or so, rather than bordering midget size. Which I like just as well.

Aaaah, sorry for the extended disappearing. I've been busy with my new job. I'm finally settling onto a routine as just last week I got put into my permanent desk and started working my regular hours. And what whoozy of a week it was, I had a mental breakdown on Monday, hit a car in the parking lot on Tuesday, fell down the stairs on Wednesday and while Thursday and Friday were O.K., Saturday could not come quick enough! 

Anyways, I've bought lots and lots of things lately! And inspired by the new release from 1mm, I pulled together a cute little beach, summery outfit. I decided to go Spot-hunting this time and ran across Las Arenas Rosadas ('The Rose-colored Sands', although there are no rose-colored sands in sight), very nice Sim for beach pictures, although I wish they'd allow building as it is the perfect location for some picnic-by-the-beach pictures! Alas, I made due. Anyways, enjoy my pictures today and if anyone is so inclined DO leave me some feedback. I actually used a technique on these pictures in Photoshop that (in my opinion) gave them the look of shadows even though my Mac doesn't support them. Comments and thoughts would be appreciated!
